The “Portly Ladies” collection is a series of humorous little sculptures that have been meticulously carved by hand and cast in solid silver. Initially inspired bythe work of Beryl Cook and Jenny Saville, combined with a general celebration of the natural female form, the collection continues the playful and feminine theme of Jana’s previous work.

In the face of constant media pressure to be thin, the ladies provide food for thought and serve as a reminder that big can be beautiful.
