Greyhound Earrings

Cats & Dogs Collection

These gorgeous greyhound earrings feature two hand-carved pups, captured mid-run, sprinting their way to who knows where. We like to think these two are leaping through their local park or forest, where do you think they’re headed? Master goldsmith Jana wanted to show the dogs in a ‘happy’ running pose, rather than in ‘racing’ position, because we are against greyhound racing.

Every year over a thousand young and healthy greyhounds are put to sleep if they lack winning potential, or can no longer compete. This is often due to the terrible injuries that racing greyhounds sustain on the track. Galgos, Spanish bred hunting greyhounds, are an ancient type of dog that were bred by Spanish nobles historically. Unfortunately, they are now one of the world’s most abused dog breeds, with tens of thousands killed each year in Spain. You can read more about their plight and how to help here

The ideal greyhound gift for anyone who loves their greyhound, lurcher, whippet or sighthound, these stunning earrings are a great choice for dog lovers passionate about animal welfare. Buying this piece means not only will you have a pair of statement greyhound creoles to wow with, you’ll also be helping vulnerable animals, thanks to the charitable donation.

These greyhound earrings need to be opened gently, so the hoop doesn't lose its round shape and then threaded through the lobe from behind which some people might find a bit tricky to do.

Our UK made greyhound earrings are available in a range of precious metals. We love the cool tones of the sterling silver greyhound hoops, but also adore striking gold greyhound hoop earrings, with their warm, super flattering glow.
